1957 - At an early age Terry joined a skiffle group called JACK O' DIAMONDS who would later go on to winning VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR with his sister PATTI BROOK AND THE DIAMONDS in 1960. They recorded singles with PYE RECORDS and toured with stars of the age nationwide such as LONNIE DONEGAN and EMILE FORD seen below handing down the trophy as the previous winner in 1959.
Following the success with the Diamonds, Terry became bass player with number one hit makers of "Diamonds" and "Scarlet O'Hara" JET HARRIS AND TONY MEEHAN after Jet's exit from The SHADOWS in 1962. 1962-63 - JET HARRIS (ex Shadows) and THE JETBLACKS Line up: Jet Harris lead 6 string bass guitar and vocals, Terry (Brook) Webster bass guitar & vocals, Barry Lovegrove Guitar, Dave (Quincey) Davies tenor sax, Glen Hughes baritone sax and Mick Underwood on drums. THE JETBLACKS supported Little Richard and Sam Cook on the Americans very first tour of the UK 1963. The Liverpool Empire date featured a then unknown group THE BEATLES promoting their first release 'Love Me Do'. Drummer Mick Underwood's first Pro gigs just turned 16 later becoming top Rock drummer with Gillan.
1963-64 - The JETBLACKS (Ex Jet Harris band) London Based Line up: Terry Webster (Brook) as bass guitarist and lead Vocals, Jim Ellis on drums and vocals , Dave (Quincey) Davies on tenor sax, and Pete Carter on guitar and vocals. Now without Jet Harris, The Jetblacks toured German dance clubs, UK theatres and dance venues ie: Marquee.
